Admissions

Chelsea Hall School maintains a maximum of 48 students between the ages of 4 and 11 years.

Our admissions process

Families are to contact the school via phone or email to enquire about possible admissions and fees, and to start the admissions process.

A child must spend a minimum of two days in the school as a trial, (at no cost to the parents or Local Authority). The student is integrated into the normal routine to enable the teaching and therapy team to determine how he/she copes in our environment and whether the child’s needs can be adequately met within the existing provision.

It is not a necessary condition of admission for a child to hold an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) from their Local Authority.

Careful consideration is given to every application regarding the dynamics of any new groupings a child’s intake would necessitate. Once a child is accepted we are fully committed to the new student as part of our school community.

We do not base our decisions to deny admittance on inappropriate behaviours, which we feel would dissipate when the child has developed confidence and coping strategies to deal with their difficulties.

Upon acceptance of a place at Chelsea Hall School the parents are asked to complete the Application for Admission Form and all other forms in the parent pack, which will provide valuable information for the child’s profile portfolio.

Enrolment is year-round, which means that we can consider students at any point in the year.  We always aim, where possible, to have students start at the School at the beginning of a half or full term.

Both parents must be in agreement of their child attending Chelsea Hall School before we would offer a place, as a close working relationship between parents and School is essential.

Please note that the School is housed in a two-storey building without a lift, so please let us know if you should need anything to accommodate your visit.

Fees

Chelsea Hall School operates a 'Payment In Advance' scheme. Should you wish to participate in this scheme, you should contact Vicky Dixon on vicky.dixon@chelseahallschool.com or 020 8946 8330.
